ACCS ANNOUNCES CDAC-ACCS FOUNDATION AWARD WINNERS FOR 2009
ACCS, the Advanced Computing and Communications Society, announced the winners of the prestigious CDA-CACCS Foundation award for 2009 honoring advances in computing and communications sciences.
Dr. Raj Jain is a Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of ACM, a winner of ACM SIGCOMM Test of Time award, CDAC-ACCS Foundation Award 2009, and ranks among the top 50 in Citeseer's list of Most Cited Authors in Computer Science. Dr. Jain is currently a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. Previously, he was one of the Co-founders of Nayna Networks, Inc - a next generation telecommunications systems company in San Jose, CA
Prof. Anurag Kumar obtained his B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur, and the PhD degree from Cornell University, both in Electrical Engineering. He was then with Bell Laboratories, Holmdel, N.J., for over 6 years. Since 1988 he has been with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, in the Dept. of Electrical Communications Engineering, where he is now a Professor, and is also the Chairman of the Electrical Sciences Division
