Nominations are open for the ACCS-CDAC Foundation Award for the year 2013
BANGALORE, April 25, 2013 - The Advanced Computing and Communications Society (ACCS) invites nominations for the ACCS-CDAC Foundation Award for 2013. The ACCS-CDAC Foundation Award was instituted jointly by the Advanced Computing and Communication Society and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) in the year 2004 to recognize and honor accomplished individuals with outstanding contributions in the field of Computing and/or Communications engineering.
Nominations are sought on behalf of outstanding individuals of national/international repute that have made exceptional contributions in the field of Computing and/or Communications engineering and are active in industry, academia and/or research laboratories.
The awardee will be selected from among the nominations received by a committee of eminent persons drawn from the industry and academia. The Award is an inscribed silver plaque and a citation that will highlight significant contribution of the selected recipient.
The Award will be presented at the inaugural event of the annual International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communications (ADCOM 2013) at Chennai on 21st October, 2013. The recipient will have the distinction of delivering the ACCS-CDAC Foundation Lecture at the conference. Cost of passage from the place of domicile to the venue of the award ceremony and local hospitality will be met by ACCS.

Advanced Computing and Communications Society announces ACCS CDAC Award 2012
BANGALORE, October 26, 2012 - Advanced Computing and Communications Society (ACCS), today announced the recipient of ACCS-CDAC award 2012.
ACCS-CDAC Award 2012 will be jointly shared by Prof. Santanu Chaudhury, Dept. of Electrical Engg., IIT Delhi and Prof. Vinod Sharma, Dept. of Electrical Communication Engg., IISc, Bangalore. The award will be presented at the flagship conference of ACCS, viz., ADCOM 2012 scheduled to be held in Bangalore during December 14-16, 2012
The Award was instituted jointly by the Advanced Computing and Communication Society and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) in the year 2004 to recognize and honor accomplished individuals with outstanding contributions in the fields of Computing and/or Communications engineering.

BANGALORE, 2nd November, 2011 - ACCS, the Advanced Computing and Communications Society, today announced a partnership with IEEE the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.
ACCS is a registered scientific society in India founded to provide a forum to individuals, institutions and industry to promote advanced Computing and Communication technologies. It is widely recognized as the premier organization for computing professionals in India delivering a broad array of resources that advance the computing and networking disciplines and enables professional development.

Advanced Computing and Communications Society (ACCS),Coimbatore chapter and the department of Computer Science and Engineering PSG college of technology, Coimbatore India together are conducting a national level design contest pertaining to products on the following themes:

- Robotics and automation.
- Intelligence controllers.
- Bridge engineering.
- Health Care.
- Solar systems.
- Embedded systems.
- Machine vision systems.
- Design of tall buildings.
- Automotive electronics.
- Adaptive control systems.
- Audio/Video/Speech recognition systems.
